Lockdown meant being away from the people we love. Despite, technology thriving to bring us together, it is the authentic connections with humans we miss. And, I was left constantly in search of wanting to feel at home. Trying to remember what it felt like to look into a loved one’s eyes, imagining and grabbing onto the feeling of their presence. Memories fade and one’s perception changes over time, but when it is the only thing you are left with; you try to hang on to them as much as possible. Inevitably, struggling to hang on to the entity of them, unless presented with the opportunity to create new memories and stories. Then, those feelings can be restored or even replaced.
