Fitting with the theme of ‘Process’, ‘Typography & Movement’ arrived after working on a brief set by university, which in my case involved using a photocopier to distort and warp typography. This process really appealed to me because it was a refreshing change from a completely digital-based outcome as well as trying something new, creating some very interesting results through form and colour. All the typography from this piece was created entirely through a photocopier and had little digital treatment. This process was also great fun to experiment with, informing the message displayed through this piece. Included are three of the original distorted typographical experiments, six close-ups of my personal favourite letters and a collage of some of the lettering.
