‘Grad’ is an improvised, hand-drawn stop motion animation, created in one day as part of a series of experiments.

The main theme of this short is the transition of cities. From the perspective of pollution, expansion and overcrowding, in an environmental sense, but also the destruction of culture and community through development and gentrification.

Inspired by the ongoing Belgrade Waterfront project, which is destroying a cultural hub of the city to create a playground for the super-rich. This piece represents the idea of a city as a bright, developing, evolving entity, waiting to be engulfed by darkness.
