Packaging design in response to the word ‘Hench’, meaning ‘someone tough-looking or muscular, someone you wouldn’t want to mess with’. The product is a men’s shampoo, packaged in a metal tin similar to the kind that would traditionally package engine oil and be very sturdy, therefore difficult to damage. The concept is that the tin contains a shampoo and that someone (the male consumer) was so ‘hench’ that they had picked it up and crushed it in a single grip. Within the logo, two H’s are dumbbells to communicate strength.
