This small project documents a series of ambient light projections through the windows of our hotel, where my family lives and works. Shot during the lockdown of COVID-19, I had access to a variety of differently lit environments which I found interesting through their formation of shapes and/or light intensity. The photographs in this series are open to interpretation, whether one sees these images as metaphorical or photo-journalistic, they all ultimately represent how light remains ever-present. Its sentimental value differs from person to person. In such a dark time of uncertainty and isolation, I hope that people find a small sense comfort from this series, as a reminder that there is always light.
